How does Latori proceed here?
Prepare integration
First, we analyse the existing Shopify shop and the customer's requirements for integration with Akeneo. We review the desired product information, synchronisation frequency, required data fields and existing workflows. Based on this analysis, we create an integration plan.
Data mapping and configuration
In the next step, we define the data mapping and configuration between Shopify and Akeneo. This includes deciding which product information should be synchronized between the systems. We set up the necessary product attributes, categories and links to ensure that the product information is consistent and complete.
Implementation and testing
Once the data mapping and configuration have been defined, we can start implementing the system. To do this, we use the corresponding APIs and integration tools from Shopify and Akeneo. We then check that the data is transferred correctly between Shopify and Akeneo and test the update speed and consistency on different sales channels.
Akeneo PIM at Asphaltgold
Asphaltgold uses Akeneo PIM system as a comprehensive and compatible SaaS solution in their own Shopify Plus store. To facilitate product integration, our developers have developed a special importer app that allows product data from Akeneo to be imported directly into Shopify. After a successful synchronization of Shopify and Akeneo, we continue to support Asphaltgold with the ongoing maintenance and support of the system.
