Channable and Shopify: Effective product data management with SEA optimisation

The so-called multichannel strategy offers many advantages, including the spreading of entrepreneurial risk and the expansion of the customer base. This is also the reason why more and more companies are focussing on more than one sales channel. What is Channable?

Channable is a multichannel platform from the Dutch software provider of the same name. Since its foundation, the company has opened offices in eight other countries, including Germany, and employs around 260 people.

Channable allows you to manage your product data centrally for all your sales channels. You create a product feed that is synchronised with your online shop, marketplace and social media connections via API interfaces. According to Channable, more than 2,500 marketplaces, comparison sites, affiliate platforms and other marketing channels can be integrated using the Channable API.

In addition, numerous customisation processes can be automated, minimising errors and saving you and your team valuable time in your day-to-day business.

For Amazon merchants, it is the Holy Grail of e-commerce success: the BuyBox. With Channable's marketplace integration, you can monitor your BuyBox quota and, based on minimum and maximum prices, always sell at the price that is most promising for the BuyBox profit. Thanks to the integrated quality check, your offers can also be optimised for other online marketplaces and adapted to the requirements of the operators.

Channable SEA optimisation

Channable helps you to create customised Google and Microsoft ads based on your data feed. It doesn't matter whether you want to use search, display, shopping adverts or a combination of these formats. Keyword and URL settings can be processed directly in your feed. You can use if-then rules to define when ad texts and titles should be displayed and when they should be ignored.

Channable Insights & Analytics

Channable allows you to analyse the performance of your products in real time. These can be automatically segmented based on their performance and prioritised for your campaigns according to ROAS (= Return of Advertising Spend) and CPC (= Cost per Click), for example.

How can Channable and Shopify be connected?

There are various ways to connect Channable and Shopify. For example, Shopify allows you to export your product data in the form of an XML file, which you can then enter into Channable. The disadvantage of this method is that this document is a standard feed that cannot be customised to the specifications of various marketing channels and therefore cannot be used effectively for advertising purposes.

For this reason, we recommend using the Channable app from the Shopify App Store for the connection between Shopify and Channable. It allows you to integrate your data feed in just a few clicks. Once set up, your product data is automatically synchronised and changes to product information are applied directly to all sales channels connected to Channable.
